(Miami) Laval resident Charles Leblanc hit a long ball, hit a double and crossed home plate twice in the Miami Marlins’ 10-3 win over the Chicago Cubs on Monday night.

With a runner on base in the eighth inning, the Quebecer sent the ball over the fence into left field.
Leblanc, who served as first baseman, finished the night with two hits and a walk in four at-bats.
Leblanc, who was playing his 37e game in the major leagues, has totaled 35 hits and four home runs in 123 at-bats this season.
Bryan De La Cruz had a grand slam that allowed Leblanc to score. Jon Berti also homered for the Marlins.
Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera (6-3) allowed three runs in five innings of work. The rookie allowed three hits, walked three and struck out four.
De La Cruz’s strike was made against Wade Miley (1-1) and allowed his team to erase a 2-0 deficit.
