Charles III and Camila Parker Bowles break protocol and enjoy a walkabout!

It is a page of history that is turning. Thursday September 8, 2022, Elizabeth II died surrounded by her family at Balmoral Castle, Scotland. A death which occurred only a few hours after the release of a press release from Buckingham Palace announcing that the queen was in bad shape.

“Following a further assessment this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended that she remains under medical supervision. The Queen continues to feel comfortable and stays at Balmoral”could we read.

According to information from the BBC, Princes William, Edward, Andrew and Sophie of Wessex therefore took the first plane, arriving shortly before 5 p.m. at the Queen’s bedside, followed by Harry… Unfortunately, only Prince Charles, whom we must now call King Charles III has arrived in time to bid farewell to his mother.

A remarkable arrival

After spending the night in Scotland on Friday September 9, the day after the Queen’s death, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles returned to London in the early afternoon. An arrival at Buckingham Palace noticed as the British and tourists had all met outside the castle.

When getting out of their car, the new and the queen took the time to meet the crowd and shake a hundred hands… Taken aback, during his walkabout, Prince Charles moreover, was surprised by a lady who did not hesitate to give him a kiss on the hand!
