Prince Charles was proclaimed officially kingthis Saturday, September 10, 2022. Prince William thus becomes the Prince of Wales when his father Charles is now King Charles III. His proclamation was read from the balcony of St. James’s Palace in London, two days after the death of Elizabeth II which opened a period of national mourning in the United Kingdom, until her funeral. For this historic occasion, he was surrounded by choice witnesses: Queen Consort Camilla, very dignified and elegant in blackand his extremely serious son William.
After his proclamation on the sublime throne, still in the initials of his late mother, King Charles III was seen making a furious gesture to the attention of one of his assistantsas described by the Email online. An attitude that has no more viewers, and which has obviously somewhat shocked the queen consort Camilla. As he went to sign the historic proclamation, the King frantically moved towards an aide to move a pen box from his desk, which viewers described as “much too small“. While some were amused by the king’s apparent difficulty with the pen, others did not appreciate the way he addressed his staff.
Camilla “mortified” in front of the malaise of King Charles III?
And basically, some even noted that Camilla’s attitude reflected her discomfort. “To be honest, Camilla, she looks absolutely mortified !“, can we read on Twitter in comment of this sequence. Ex-BBC journalist, Laura Kuenssberg wrote: “The servant has to clear my office for me. I can’t be expected to move things“, mocking King Charles III’s panic at the time. Others tried to defend him.
