Charlene of Monaco accomplice with a rugby player: behind-the-scenes photos under the eyes of Prince Albert

Sport has never been so much in the news. Between the Football World Cup in a few days, the Olympic Games expected in Paris in 2024 and the Rugby World Cup next year, competition is in full swing. But while waiting to defend the tricolor between all the nations of the world, the XV of France faced the formidable team of South Africa in the enclosure of the Vélodrome in Marseille on Saturday November 12th. The meeting took place in an overexcited atmosphere and a packed stadium. Even Princess Charlene and Albert of Monaco had made the trip to attend in the flesh the match between France and the country of origin of the mother of Gabriella and Jacques.

It’s hard for the former swimmer not to give her full support to the Springboks, a nickname given to all South African players. In the stands (VIP obviously), the princely couple gave everything to encourage the two teams. It must be said that as a former professional swimmer, Princess Charlene knows better than anyone what the weight of competition represents and how important the support of the public and supporters is in crucial moments. The encouragement was unfortunately not enough to win South Africa, the Blues offered the victory 30 to 26 at the final whistle.

At the end of the meeting, Princess Charlene and Prince Albert took advantage of the boxes to prolong the pleasure of the evening. They were thus able to talk to the players and congratulate the athletes for the magnificent spectacle they had just put on. One of them is also not returned to meet the princely couple behind the scenes. Tendai Mtawarira, pillar of the XV of South Africa until 2019, therefore asked him to get a photo with him. He hastened to share this memory with his subscribers on Instagram. In the first photo, we discover him posing with a smile between Charlene and Prince Albert before the latter gives them a shot just two.
