Charlene of Monaco absent from the National Day: this beautiful surprise maintained, Albert impatient

November 19 is an important date for the Rock: the princely family and the residents of the principality indeed celebrate their National Day, on the day of Saint-Rainier and the enthronement of Rainier III in 1949. A date chosen by the Prince Albert of Monaco at the time of his accession to the throne, in memory of his father. This 2021 edition is eagerly awaited since last year’s festivities were limited due to the pandemic.

In a new interview with Monaco-Morning this Thursday, on the eve of the big day, Prince Albert gave a taste of the festivities: “We will have this a more or less normal National Day, taking into account the sanitary provisions, first announced the ruler of 63 years. It is a joy to reconnect with the tradition of welcoming the public to the Palace Square. “The party will be launched on Thursday evening with”a light drone show“, instead of the traditional fireworks display.

Friday morning, as usual, the princely family will take part on Friday morning in the mass celebrated in the cathedral of Monaco. Then a seizure of arms and a parade will be organized in the Palace Square, in public. From the balconies, the Grimaldi will follow the various passages while greeting the population. At last, a gala evening will be organized at the Monte-Carlo Opera.

A theme all found

For this return of the National Day, Albert of Monaco has chosen a very personal theme: 10 years of marriage to Princess Charlene, already celebrated last summer, and that the Monegasques will meet again on Friday when they take up arms. “The Public Force has mobilized so that paintings evoke South Africa. I can’t tell you everything, because there are surprises for me too.“This theme seems to want to twist, once and for all, the strong rumors of divorce that followed the princess throughout her eight-month convalescence, spent in her country of origin.

Returning on November 8, the 43-year-old ex-swimmer will unfortunately miss this event dedicated to her since she continues her convalescence outside the principality, in an undisclosed location. Despite this absence, Prince Albert will be well surrounded: his sisters, Princesses Caroline and Stéphanie, should be present and Princess Charlene will be represented by her mother and her brothers. Young and restless Jacques and Gabriella (soon 7 years old) should also appear on the balcony.
