Charentais melons recalled due to exceeding maximum pesticide limits

Charentais melons marketed by Lidl were recalled due to exceeding the maximum residue limit of the molecule flonicamide, explains the government site Rappel conso. These insecticides are notably accused of accelerating the massive decline of bee colonies.

These unbranded products were sold at Lidl, particularly in the South-West, between June 10 and June 29, 2023. The batches and stores concerned were shared by Rappel conso.

There are many symptoms of too much flonicamid consumption. The latter can in particular cause digestive disorders, nausea, vomiting and headaches. It is recommended that you return the products to the point of sale to request a refund. The recall procedure remains in effect until July 17.
