At the end of a very agitated evening at the Stade de France, during which several supporters remained blocked outside, it is the Real Madrid who snatched victory from Liverpool in the Champions League final. The player Vini Jr. indeed managed to score the one and only goal for Madrid in the 59th minute, allowing his club to win the 14th trophy in its history. As always since 2009, Karim Benzema has also greatly contributed to his team winning. It is thus his fifth Champions League cup with Real.
Once the victory was declared, Karim Benzema let his joy explode on the lawn where he was quickly joined by his son Ibrahim (5 years old). The little boy, who inherited his dad’s medal, jumped into his dad’s arms before chasing him around the stadium, always with a lot of admiration. Father and son then took the time to pose for the event photographers. The 34-year-old footballer then displayed wide smiles throughout. Not far from Karim Benzema and Ibrahim was Cora Gauthier, the mother of his son. It is very rare to see Karim Benzema and Cora Gauthier together because since the beginning of their relationship, the couple wants to be very discreet. On the other hand, they both like to display their beautiful complicity with their son Ibrahim, whose pretty face appears very often on their respective social networks. Note that Karim Benzema is also the father of a little girl, Melia (8 years old), born of his past relationship with Chloé de Launay.
Thanks to this new success in the Champions League and his exceptional season with Real Madrid, Karim Benzema becomes the big favorite to win the Ballon d’Or next October. If this materializes, he will then succeed Zinedine Zidane on the list of sacred Frenchmen, he who accepted the prize in 1998, in particular after the victory in the World Cup for the French team.
