The latest news regarding Kirby Dach is not reassuring.
Dach, who left the game against the Chicago Blackhawks last Saturday, was conspicuous by his absence Monday at the Montreal Canadiens’ morning skate.
The number 77 was hit heavily by defender Jarred Tinordi, who threw him onto the players’ bench. He did not return to the game afterward.
Dach had an excellent training camp, so much so that observers wondered if he would steal the position of first center from Nick Suzuki.
The imposing forward has collected two assists in as many games since the start of the season.
More details will follow.
