The Montreal Canadiens announced on Saturday that they have acquired goaltender Andrew Hammond from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Brandon Baddock.

The 34-year-old Hammond was 6-2-3 in 11 games with the Iowa Wild in the AHL this season, maintaining a 2.44 goals-against average and save percentage of , 908.
The Surrey, BC native played 56 career NHL games over five seasons with the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche, posting a 27-15-6 record.
He has a 2.31 goals against average and a .923 save percentage in addition to having four shutouts.
Undrafted, Hammond made his Senators debut in 2013 and played his first career game against the Canadiens on Feb. 18, 2015.
