CGI’s U.S. operating subsidiary has an agreement to acquire Aeyon

CGI, through its U.S. operating subsidiary, announced Tuesday its intention to acquire Aeyon, a digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) technology company serving the U.S. federal government.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CGI said the parties entered into a definitive acquisition agreement on June 22, and the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The CGI Federal subsidiary would thus expand its relationships with major clients in the national security sector, branches of the American armed forces, the Federal Aviation Administration and the American Space Agency (NASA).

Stephanie Mango, president of CGI Federal, said the company is “looking forward to welcoming Aeyon’s 725 employees” in a “combination” that strengthens its position as the partner of choice for a full range of mission-critical services and solutions within the U.S. government.

“By combining our strengths with CGI, our clients will benefit significantly from access to new, complementary global capabilities, greater reach and opportunities to scale and broaden the impact of their engagements. Our employees will have exciting opportunities to grow their careers with an industry leader,” Aeyon President and CEO Sunny Singh said in a statement.
