CFL | The Blue Bombers make life difficult for the Roughriders

(Winnipeg) Zach Collaros had four touchdown passes on Saturday to guide the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a 54-20 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The Blue Bombers scored on their first eight drives and didn’t clear until there were three minutes left in the final quarter, in front of the 33,234 ticket-holding crowd at IG Field.

Winnipeg is 12-1, while Saskatchewan is 6-7.

Collaros had 273 passing yards, including 16 and 18 yard touchdown passes to Nic Demski. He gave way to Dru Brown in the last quarter. Brown had a CFL first touchdown pass late in the game, tying Dalton Schoen for 11 yards.

Collaros’ other touchdown passes were 34 yards to Rasheed Bailey and 10 yards to Brendan O’Leary-Orange. Marc Liegghio, of the winners, managed placements of 45 and 23 yards.

For the Riders, Mario Alford returned a kickoff 92 yards to the end zone. Brett Lauther provided field goals for 53 and 34 yards.
