(Ottawa) The Ottawa Redblacks released veteran linebacker Patrick Levels on Tuesday.
Levels, a 28-year-old American, played 13 games with the Rouge et Noir last season. He had 59 tackles, four quarterback sacks and caused a fumble.
Levels has spent the last five seasons in the Canadian Football League, including with the Montreal Alouettes, between 2019 and 2021. He also wore the uniform of the Calgary Stampeders, in 2017 and 2018.
In career, he took part in 68 games in the regular season and registered 222 tackles in defense and 15 others within the special teams. He also had 12 quarterback sacks, two interceptions and three forced fumbles.
