The Californian set a career high with 11 tackles, including 10 defensive tackles in a 34-30 win over the Ottawa Redblacks. The 26-year-old footballer also recovered a fumble which he returned 16 yards for a touchdown.
Pickett was voted third player of the week. He was edged out only by Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Richard Leonard and teammate, wide receiver Tim White.
Leonard had eight defensive tackles and one special teams tackle and intercepted two passes, including a 64-yard return for a touchdown in the Ti-Cats’ 35-32 win over the Calgary Stampeders.
White meanwhile caught six passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. This is his fifth game for over 100 passing yards this season.
