CF Montreal will start its season in Miami

CF Montreal will play five of its first six away games to start the 2023 MLS season, and will play its home opener on March 18 at Olympic Stadium against the defending Association champions Philadelphia Union. Is and MLS Cup runner-up in 2022.

This will be the second year in a row that CF Montreal will host the Pennsylvania troop on Pierre-de-Coubertin Street to kick off its local season. On March 5, the Union snatched a 2-1 win.

All CF Montreal home games will start at 7:30 p.m.

Of the 34 scheduled games, 26 will be played on Saturdays, seven on Wednesdays and one on Sunday against Toronto FC on August 20 in the Queen City. CF Montreal will play 28 of its games against Eastern Conference clubs.

The Montreal squad will kick off its schedule with three games in enemy territory, starting with Saturday, February 25, in Miami, at 7:30 p.m. A week later, CF Montreal will travel to Austin before making a stopover in Nashville, Saturday March 11. Both matches are scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m.

After two other outings abroad, in Vancouver, the 1er April, and in New England, seven days later, CF Montreal will take to the Saputo stadium for the first time on April 15, against DC United.

Toronto FC will be at Stade Saputo on Saturday, May 13.

Moreover, we will have to wait until September 2 to witness the return of Wilfried Nancy to Stade Saputo, at the helm of the Columbus Crew. The same two teams will also face off on ‘MLS Decisive Day’ on Saturday, October 21, in the Ohio state capital.

The 2023 MLS season marks the debut of St. Louis City SC, which becomes the 29e league team. This new club will play in the Western Conference, while Nashville SC will transfer to the Eastern Conference.
