CF Montreal announced via its social networks on Wednesday evening that the club would sport a new logo for the 2023 season.

In the statement, the team explains that it has listened to its supporters, many of whom criticized the new name and logo of the team in January 2021. Some members of the partisan base resented to the club for denying the past of the Montreal Impact, which existed for nearly thirty years.
“This emblem will highlight several elements of our identity and our history,” the organization explained in its press release.
This tangent follows what the team’s new president and CEO, Gabriel Gervais, spoke about when he was appointed at the end of March. During his press conference, there was talk of no longer “turning his back” on the history of the club, “listening” to his supporters and “having a reflection on the logo. »
A few weeks later, changes are already taking place within the organization.
