CF Montreal | Season over for Tomas Giraldo

CF Montreal announced Monday that Quebec midfielder Tomas Giraldo will undergo foot surgery on Tuesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin and will be out for the rest of the season.

Posted at 3:52 p.m.

Giraldo suffered a broken fifth metatarsal in his left foot, commonly known as a “Jones” fracture, last Tuesday in training.

In order to carry out this intervention and ensure rehabilitation in the best possible conditions, Giraldo will be operated on by Dr.r Robert B. Anderson, foot and ankle surgeon and sports medicine surgeon.

Leader in its field and recognized worldwide for its interventions with several professional athletes through the major sports circuits in North America, we find in particular among the patients of Dr.r Anderson former Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and basketball player Kevin Durant.

Giraldo has yet to play a game with CF Montreal in his career.
