CF Montreal loaned defender Robert Thorkelsson to Kongsvinger IL Toppfotball, in the Norwegian second division, on Thursday.
The 22-year-old Icelander will play with this club until 1er August 2024. The loan also includes an option for the permanent acquisition of the player.
Thorkelsson was acquired in June 2021, from Breidablik Kopavogur of the Icelandic first division, where he had played since 2020. The fullback played 20 matches with the Montreal eleven, including two as a starter. He totaled 383 minutes on the pitch.
CF Montreal, which has a 2-2-1 record this season, will visit the Seattle Sounders on Saturday.
