CF Montreal joins forces with the Aléo Foundation to encourage women’s soccer

On the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, CF Montreal announced on Wednesday a new association with the Aléo Foundation, formerly known as the Quebec Athlete of Excellence Foundation.

To continue its commitment to the development of women’s soccer, CF Montreal will award four scholarships, for a total amount of $10,000, to young female soccer players in the province. The recipients will receive their scholarship at halftime of the May 6 game at Saputo Stadium.

“This initiative is directly in line with our mission, which aims to give back to the community by supporting soccer from the grassroots and contributing to the development of young people,” said CF Montreal President and CEO Gabriel Gervais.

“Being a driver of dreams and emotions is also with the young girls who are passionate about our sport. I think we can help them achieve their goals and go further,” added Gervais.

“For young players to reach great heights, we must support them from an early age by ensuring that they receive all the support necessary for their development and well-being. Through this concrete gesture, CF Montreal contributes to their overall development and we are very grateful to them,” observed Patricia Demers, Executive Director of the Aléo Foundation.

The Aléo Foundation is an organization that brings together stakeholders from various backgrounds, including business, education, health and sports. Its mission is twofold: to grant scholarships to student-athletes to enable them to rise to the highest educational and sporting heights and to support them in the development of other spheres of their lives, making them role models. inspiring for Quebec society.

In addition to the scholarships, the Foundation will provide a support service with the scholarship holders. The recipients will be selected in collaboration with Soccer Quebec’s National High Performance Center (CNHP).

Formerly with the Quebec Foundation for Athlete Excellence, CF Montreal players Samuel Piette and Mathieu Choinière received one of these scholarships.
