CF Montreal will participate in the playoff round of the Leagues Cup thanks to Orlando City SC’s 1-1 (5-4) victory over Atlético de San Luis on Sunday evening.
This result allows the Montreal team to finish second in Group East 2.
The top two teams in each group advance to the next round.
CF Montreal will face the Union next Friday evening in the round of 32, at Subaru Park in Philadelphia.
The Montreal eleven will play this elimination match abroad since the Union finished first in its group.
