César 2022: Leïla Bekhti “hyper moved”, Valérie Lemercier “stressed”, the stars confide in Purepeople (EXCLUDED)

A comeback. While last year’s ceremony took place in a particular health context, with few stars and few films, this new edition of the Césars has regained its shine. On the red carpet Installed at the Olympia, we could see a parade of VIPs. And Purepeople was there to collect their impressions.

Popular actress Leïla Bekhti, nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in the film The Intranquilles was sensational in a black dress signed Alaïa with long gloved sleeves. “I am very moved to be there with Damien Bonnard [son confrère du film, NDLR] and I have plenty of friends who are nominated, even in my category. So whatever the outcome, I’m gonna be super happy“, she told us.

In her category there was also Valérie Lemercier who said to herself “happy to be here, to celebrate cinema and to have had a great year“, while she was surrounded by her Quebec actors. A few hours later, the star received the prize for Aline, definitely crowning the success of this true/false biopic on Celine Dion, whom she thanked on stage. As for Virginie Efira, in the running for Benedetta and came accompanied by her darling Niels Schneider, she told us that she had seen Aline. “I loved it, I saw the film with my daughter. I liked the movie terribly. And why she does it, which is reflected in the film“, she said.

For her part, Cécile de France, named for Lost Illusionsdid not fail to encourage at the microphone of Purepeople cinema fans to go to dark rooms, while attendance is down: “It’s an event, it’s an outing (…) You can be overwhelmed by an emotion that encompasses you physically. What you don’t have on a tablet.” Gilles Lellouche, in the running for BAC Northgreeted him the presence on the spot “great actors, great actresses, great directors“believing that, this year, “it looks like a real movie night“. As for the young Sami Outalbali, he had the impression of having been invited “to the most important college party“.

Even if many films were in competition and the stars had largely responded to the call, the César evening hosted by Antoine de Caunes and chaired by Danièle Thompson seems to have kept the consequences of the sinking of the previous edition. Indeed, the evening was followed by only 1.3 million viewers, for a market share of 8.5%. Or 300,000 people less than last year when it was at that time its worst score in ten years…
