In a letter written in English, the director of the College of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, Stéphane Lemelin, invited the President and CEO of Air Canada to take a week of French lessons, free of charge, within its establishment.

The director of the College founded in 1827 then detailed the various programs offered by his institution in order to help people who so wish to develop or improve their command of the French language.
“Our school, which is accredited by the Quebec Ministry of Education and by Languages Canada, was ranked first among all secondary schools offering a mixed residence for the results of its students in the ministry exams. […] Our school residence is located in a safe and 100% French-speaking environment, 55 minutes from Quebec City, ”wrote Mr. Lemelin, who specified that the college is open seven days a week throughout the year. year.
“Over the years, our school has developed an undeniable and recognized expertise in French immersion, and we can undoubtedly contribute to helping Mr. Rousseau learn French,” he added.
Recall that Wednesday, the CEO of Air Canada caused an uproar after giving a speech only in English, before the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, and stressed that he had managed to live in Montreal without speaking French since he moved there in 2007.
