(Wickham) A 92-year-old man who was traveling on a four-wheeled scooter died in a collision in Wickham, in the Centre-du-Québec region, on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to intervene around 4:15 p.m., said the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Initial information collected by the police indicates that the driver of the quadricycle did not make a mandatory stop on the 12e Rank, before taking Route 139.
That’s when the collision occurred, with a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 139.
The 92-year-old man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Adam Marineau, spokesperson for the SQ.
A police officer trained in collision investigation was dispatched to the scene to better understand the circumstances surrounding the accident.
