A 27-year-old snowmobiler died Friday afternoon after hitting the structure of a bridge in Pierreville, in the Centre-du-Québec region.

According to information from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the man was traveling on the main street in an easterly direction, towards Chenal-Tardif row, when he caught head-on the structure of the bridge that crosses the Saint- Francois.
His death was pronounced on the spot.
According to the SQ, speed or discomfort could explain the circumstances of this accident.
A patrol officer trained in collision investigation was called to the scene and the investigation is continuing.
