(Saint-Christophe-D’arthabaska) A fatal collision between a motorcyclist and a motorist occurred late Friday afternoon on Route 161 in Saint-Christophe-d’Arthabaska, in the Center-du region. -Quebec.
The death of the driver of the motorcycle was noted on site by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), who were called to the scene of the accident around 5 p.m.
For her part, the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital due to mental shock.
“According to initial information, the motorcyclist, who was traveling north, lost control of his car and collided with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction,” said SQ spokesperson Camille Savoie.
An investigation is underway to establish the causes and circumstances of this tragedy.
Route 161 is closed to traffic at 9e rank to allow analysis of the scene.
