Céline Presle, educator in the multisports section

Interview conducted by Alexis de l’Onde Carrier

Céline Presle is athletics referent

The idea is to stay on the logic of athletics: produce a performance, project your body or an object higher, farther, faster.

The babies: simple skills, ability to jump, throw or run in a non-messy manner.

The kids: We are looking for specific skills, small challenges, small performances.

The juniors: notion of performance, purpose of the gesture and to achieve behavior that is truly typical of athletics.

The advantages of multisports

The children will practice 6 different sports over 2 years. It really helps develop all the physical qualities of the child. Some will be better on jumping, throwing, or running … There is also boxing, wrestling, judo … We will therefore be able to look for the physical qualities of the child and make a child more complete physically.

Handisport and adapted sport, inclusion through multisports

Adapted sport: children with mental, psychological, psychological disabilities.

Handisport: children with motor, hearing, visual, motor skills of the legs, arms.

This year, and it’s a novelty, 2 children were integrated into multisports, they did the same program as the others. You just have to take into account the child’s characteristics and adapt the instructions. Sometimes shorter, they will evolve over time, so that the child is not in check from the start. We also use shorter situations. We take regular breaks. We set up a routine system, the sessions always take place in the same way. Reception and return are always in the same place.

It was not taken into account that young people with disabilities could practice sport, could be good at sport. And now people understand it and accept it.

The ASM club seen by Céline Presle

I see him even bigger in the sense that he will develop his skills. It will be able to welcome more people, adapt to more people, be able to grow its activities and be able to raise awareness and reach as many people as possible according to their needs.
