Celine Dion is canceling the last shows of her Courage North American tour.
In an official press release, it is specified that the singer must continue her convalescence following a health problem, that is to say serious and persistent muscular spasms which prevent her from going on stage.
Thus, almost twenty shows by the Quebec singer scheduled in Canada and the United States from March 9 to April 22, 2022 are canceled. These were concert dates that had already been postponed. None were planned in Quebec.
Céline presented the first 52 shows of her Courage World Tour before the start of the pandemic in March 2020, but the current context of the pandemic and her health problems prevented her from continuing with what was on her schedule.
“I was really hoping to be ready to go back on stage now, but I find that I have to be more patient and follow the recommendations of my doctors,” Celine Dion said in an official statement.
“I was very touched by all the messages of encouragement that you sent me on social networks. I feel your love and support and it means a lot to me, ”said the star.
Fans who purchased their tickets with a credit card at authorized outlets will automatically be refunded to the credit card used at the time of purchase. All ticket holders of canceled performances will soon receive an email with more information.
