French filmmaker Cédric Klapisch (A family resemblance, The Spanish Inn) will co-chair the jury of the Cinemania Francophone Film Festival this year, along with actress Pascale Bussières.

At the end of the festival, which will take place from November 2 to 13, three prizes will be awarded by the jury: Best Film, Jury Prize and Best Performance Prize. The winners will be chosen from the 10 films in competition, but in all, 122 productions will be presented in 12 days.
Cinemania will open with white dog by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, in the presence of the two stars of the film, Denis Ménochet, who plays Romain Gary, and Kacey Rohl, who plays Jean Seberg. A host of international guests are also expected during this resolutely post-pandemic edition, including Michel Blanc, Clovis Cornillac, Arnaud Desplechin, Pio Marmaï, Jean-Paul Rouve and Benjamin Voisin.
Cédric Klapisch has been a friend of Quebec for a long time: he presented his first feature films at the World Film Festival in the mid-1990s, where he won the Special Jury Prize and the Audience Prize in 1996 for A family resemblance. He has since returned regularly here to promote his films, most recently for Back to Burgundyin 2017.
His most recent film, In bodywas released in Quebec in July 2022.
