These are damning confessions on which Cédric Jubillar will, again, have to explain himself. The husband of Delphine Jubillar, who has not given any sign of life since December 2020, will be confronted with his ex-convict this Thursday, May 12, from 2 p.m., by the two investigating judges in charge of the investigation into the disappearance of his wife.
The latter claims that Cédric Jubillar confessed to him of the murder and that he asked him to help his new companion to move the body of the nurse around Cagnac-les-Mines, in the Tarn, where she lived.
Questioned last February by the two investigating judges, the main suspect in this case then confirmed to them that he had told his ex-convict, nicknamed Marco, that he had killed, then buried the body of his wife near a farm that had burned down. But “it was a joke“, assures the husband of Delphine. A “joke“, he justifies himself again, that he “went out to everyone“, “tired of being asked the same question 500 times“about his guilt.
Once out of prison, this Marco will meet four times the new companion of Cédric Jubillar, affirming that his mission was to help him move the body of the nurse. But he disputes:I didn’t make a confession, I just said nonsense. He made it all up to get released early. (…) It was always the same joke that I released to everyone“, he adds, explaining that when “you are asked for the 25th time the same question and that you are innocent, after a while you say bullshit, and that was my bullshit“. The two magistrates in charge of the case hope to bring out the truth by confronting the two men with diametrically opposed versions.
One of Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers tells franceinfo that his client will not change his version during this very first confrontation organized in this case, he who continues to claim his innocence. Cédric Jubillar also explained to the judges last February that he was tired of being “target“, when his three lawyers denounce an instruction that is slipping.
In recent months, very large resources have been deployed by the gendarmes in Cagnac-les-Mines to try to find the body of this 33-year-old mother. Research has also taken place around the farm which Cédric Jubillar spoke to his former neighbor in the cell. But without success.
The craftsman painter has been indicted since June 2021 for the murder of his wife, suspected of having killed him at their home on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020, when she was about to leave him to start a new life. Detained for almost a year and his four requests for release rejected, he says he has nothing to do with the disappearance of his wife. But due to the body of evidence that incriminates her, all her requests for release have been rejected. Delphine Jubillar has not given any sign of life since December 2020
