Ariane is a young woman in social and personal difficulty. She prefers to stay cloistered at home, until the day when Sandrine, her best friend, invites her to her engagement party. To help her find her way around and get her to the right place, Sandrine shares her location with her on her phone. Guided by the red dot which represents Sandrine in the space of the GPS, Ariane therefore goes to the engagement party. But the next day, Sandrine disappeared. She no longer answers the phone. No trace of her. Except this GPS point, which continues to advance. And that Ariane will no longer take her eyes off. The GPS gives him a feeling of closeness to Sandrine. As if they shared a secret. Until the discovery of a charred corpse on the edge of a lake where Sandrine’s GPS point went. Is this his corpse? But the point is still moving. Who is behind the point then? Ariane investigates but all leads are dead ends. Even more disturbing: the point on the GPS persists in driving Ariane to the place of their friendship. To find out for sure, she leaves a voice message for Sandrine to meet her in a place that only she can know. When the GPS indicates that Sandrine is going to this place, Ariane is convinced that she has been mistaken so far. Sandrine is not dead! The point is her friend. But she begins to confuse the real world and the digital medium. The police then reveal that Sandrine is indeed dead, Ariane deactivates the shared location. She tries to resume the course of her life and forget the GPS. But a new notification interrupts her: Sandrine wants to share her location with her again. For a final date.

Written like a thriller, this novel, on friendship and death, on social and psychological fragility, goes through the illusions of mourning in the light of our digital addictions.
