Since 2013, Cécile Bois has embodied Candice Renoir in the eponymous successful series of France 2. If season 10 was first announced as the last, France Télévisions had finally entrusted to the Parisian that an eleventh was in the pipeline, in addition to a TV movie whose filming takes place in Corsica. The 50-year-old actress therefore knows that she will soon have to say goodbye to her character, a subject she discussed with our colleagues from We both.
“Candice is one of the richest characters I’ve played, it’s also the one I’ve played the longest.“, Cécile Bois first confided to the magazine. She then explained that at the time when she shot season 10 of Candice Renoir, she did not know – just like her colleagues – if she would be the last. “So we acted as if it were the last season with the emotion of the last times: last decor, last shot, last kiss too. Finally, there will be an epilogue which will take place in Corsica, where we will leave for fifteen days of filming. We will also find the entire film crew in Sète for a special Halloween episode. Then Candice will return, but I don’t know in what form“, she clarified.
Although she is sad to soon no longer play the role of police commander, the wife of Jean-Pierre Michaël is delighted to be able to find a daily life that is a little less restrictive. “What weighed on me the most in the end was the pace of filming and the distance from my base, located 700 kilometers from Sète. I’m happy to have my freedom backhowever, I will remain attached for life to the character of Candice, to my playing partners and to the artistic team.“, she confessed.
Once the series is definitively over, Cécile Bois will indeed be able to take more advantage of the man who shares her life, who is an actor just like her, and of their daughters, aged 9 and 11. In the meantime, every moment she spends with her family is precious. “We have someone to help us when my husband is away. On weekends, I lay down all my arms, I open my arms and I am available for whatever my daughters need“, she concluded.
