Cécile Bois (Candice Renoir) close to her stepson and partner Quentin Michaël? She talks about their relationship

Since 2013, Cécile Bois has put herself in the shoes of Candice Renoir, in the eponymous successful series of France 2. She has therefore seen many actors pass on the set. And among them is her stepson Quentin Michaël (22), who will be back in season 10. A subject she raised with the magazine We both (edition of May 31, 2022).

With Cécile Bois, Jean-Pierre Michaël had two daughters aged 9 and 11 (whose first names have never been revealed). But from a previous relationship, he has two children, including his son Quentin who followed in his footsteps. He indeed became an actor and made his first appearance in season 8 of Candice Renoir, in 2020. But the 50-year-old actress and her stepson didn’t need that to bond. “Our complexity existed before this common work experience. It was also created relatively quickly, with more or less assiduity, over time. He is at an age where he needs to build himself up and find himself, far from my gaze or that of his parents. But it was good because we were able to see each other, which is quite rare in normal times. And it allowed me to see that he was talented, she confided. Statements that will affect, for sure, the main interested party.

A talented son-in-law

This is not the first time that Cécile Bois confides in Quentin Michaël. Two years ago, during an interview for the same magazine, she explained how, thanks to her, the young man had been able to take his first steps as an actor. At the time, he was in acting school. And the interpreter of Candice Renoir immediately thought of him to play the role of her fictional daughter’s boyfriend. “Two months later, the producer told me he was booked“, she said. A news that delighted her. However, she quickly made sure that he had indeed been chosen for his talent: “I immediately told him that I didn’t want him to be boosted. She assured me that was not the case, that he was the only one who added value to the character that was not written.

Cécile Bois quickly noticed that Quentin Michaël was very talented and that it was “an incredible privilege“to have witnessed his first steps in front of a camera.”I am very touched and proud of that. On the other hand, on the set, I didn’t give him any particular advice or support. I let him do his own thing. And, seeing him play, I understood why he had seduced the production: he who is anything but unpleasant, embodies a character who is, but he knew how to give him an endearing side“, she had concluded.
