The 43-year-old host, Sébastien Cauet, is the target of a complaint for two rapes, including one against a minor over 15 years old, which would have been filed this Saturday, November 18, 2023, according to our colleagues at L’Obs. It is then Julie, 25 years old, who recounts her ordeal. “He then told me that I had to do it if I wanted to succeed […] in that world, it worked like that. […] I felt at an impasse […] I bent down and performed oral sex which lasted a few seconds. […] On the way home he texted me on Snapchat that I shouldn’t say anything“.
Cauet comes out of silence on social networks
Very quickly, Cauet spoke on X (formerly Twitter) through his lawyers in a press release. Mr. Sébastien Cauet was informed of a complaint filed against him for acts of rape which he strongly contests. After filing a complaint last week for the harassment he has suffered for several days on social networks, he immediately instructed his counsel to file a complaint for slanderous denunciation against the author of these serious unfounded accusations with the Prosecutor of the Republic of Nanterre. Sébastien Cauet is at the disposal of the justice and police services, in which he has full confidence and will calmly provide the elements likely to demonstrate the inanity of the accusations brought against him“, we can read.
“However, it cannot be tolerated for such allegations to be relayed without waiting for justice to rule. He will systematically sue media outlets that publish defamatory remarks against him. Sébastien Cauet will not allow himself to be intimidated by any process and will fight tirelessly to reestablish the truth.” he added.
