Thomas Stern, the husband of Catherine Laborde was this Thursday, October 6, 2022, invited on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste”. Faced with Cyril Hanouna and the columnists, he confided with accuracy on the worrying state of health of the former miss weather forecaster of TF1: “It’s not the total disaster but she’s not going well. She’s evolving rather slowly, she has been sick for 4-5 years, and usually this disease works much faster […] She has language and expression problems. Of motor skills too, but she is not handicapped either“he confided.
After the testimony of the 70-year-old man who supports his wife hard as iron in this terrible ordeal, Matthieu Delormeau allowed himself a small question about the private life of Catherine Laborde: “She had mentioned her estrangement, her anger with her sister Françoise, is this something that brought them together today?”.
“They see each other very little”
To which Thomas Stern replied: “I think it calms down a lot of things. So I think there are a lot of little family bickering that has disappeared. But they don’t see each other very often because Françoise isn’t there often… and then they’re less in competition on TV channels or on TV sets so it’s not the same song anymore” he revealed.
In rivalry for years, the Laborde sisters indeed ended up putting their differences aside a few years ago. “My sister reconciled with me thanks to the disease” had also confessed Catherine Laborde during an interview with Gala in 2018. “Until then she was angry but she isn’t anymore. She even says that she is very scared because mum died of Alzheimer’s…”.
Glad to have reconnected with her sister, she also made another statement in Télé Loisirs in 2020: “She was very sad when she learned that I was sick. We talk to each other a lot. We phone each other because she lives most of the time in Madeira”.
