Catherine Deneuve: Visit of her incredible castle where she received family and friends!

It’s a place in the middle of greenery, an ideal timeless area to cut himself off from the Parisian frenzy and an incredible career… For more than 35 years, the Primard castle has long been the haven of actress Catherine Deneuve. Bought at the end of the 1970s by the actress, it must be said that the estate is absolutely stunning: apart from the house of 1000m² of living spacethere is a huge park of 18 hectaresseveral outbuildings and even a swimming pool!

An area which was far from being in this state when the actress acquired it: indeed, before living there, she had the decoration and structural work redone in its entirety, allowing the area to regain grandeur in border of the Eure. An area in which she has long been busy with very simple occupations, such as raising chickens or the vegetable garden.

And who has gradually built the balance of the actress, overmediatized in her public life because of her love stories and her children, Christian Vadim and Chiara Mastroianni, both of whom have become actors. There, she could receive them quietly as well as her five grandchildren (Igor, 35, Lou, 12 and Mona, 10, from her son’s side, Milo, 25 and Anna, 19 from her daughter’s) or very close friends including Yves Saint Laurent before his death in 2008.

Being invited by the actress was also a real proof of attachment, she who had already confided in this area several years ago to the magazine Ohlà: “This Balzacian, family residence, as soon as I saw it, I felt that it was waiting for me. She had slept too long. It took a lot of work to bring it back to life…“.

Today, the chateau was sold to a couple, Frédéric Biousse and Guillaume Foucher, who transformed it into a luxury hotel. Renovated swimming pool, spa, rooms overlooking the river, wallpapers changed… The place has been slightly transformed but has kept the imprint of the actress, especially in its rooms and in the garden, where delighted tourists now stroll to follow in the footsteps of the interpreter of Donkey Skin !
