The French Minister of Foreign Affairs is in Yerevan on Tuesday October 2 to discuss the situation of the Armenians

It was under pouring rain that Catherine Colonna set foot on Armenian soil on Tuesday October 3. The head of French diplomacy came to reaffirm France’s support for Armenia, after Azerbaijan’s victorious offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh. In the company of the Minister of Health Armenian, the minister visits the burn hospital in Yerevan, and announces medical help.

Unwavering support

In the coming days, France will evacuate four seriously injured people to French hospitals.”, says Catherine Colonna. This is continuous support according to French diplomacy which has already increased its aid to Yerevan to 12 million euros. On the ground, more than 100,000 Armenians have fled Nagorno-Karabakh out of the 120,000 who live in the Azerbaijani enclave. At the end of the afternoon, Catherine Colonna must meet the pfirst Armenian minister and remind him of France’s total support for his country.
