Meal distributors are becoming more and more successful. After ready-to-eat pizzas, baguettes or even sushi, gourmet dishes are arriving in distributors. Report in Charente.

In Ruelle-sur-Touvre (Charente)a new distributor attracts the passers-by. The inhabitants of the municipality can enjoy 24 hours a day some dishes made in the nearby restaurant. “It often happens on Sundays, we don’t really know what to do, something close like that is a good idea”says a resident.

The prices are close to those practiced in the dining room: from 3.50 euros for chocolate mousse to 17 euros for sweetbreads. The couple of restaurateurs invested 17,000 euros for the distributor. “We do not know what this device will become in two years or in one year, when everything will go well, but there will always be the accident: ‘I have nothing to eat’. I think he will always have his job to do.”comments Alan Valleysco-director of the restaurant La Cour de Ruelles. The meals are simmered like the others, in the kitchen, by the chef, Clément Bergamin. 15 to 20 dishes are sold every day in the vending machine.
