Restaurant owners and caterers are already practically saturated with orders and reservations for the holiday season.
In the Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean region, at the caterer Aux Petits Oignons, the frenzy is already being felt. “It’s a bit of raging madness. I don’t know where to put myself. The phone does not ring. I leave for two hours; when I arrive, we are talking about 80 messages, in addition to emails, messages on “Messenger” ”, explained the owner, Anne-Julie Poitras.
The calendar is practically full and the caterer must already plan orders for the start of the year. “I have already started my agenda for January 2022. December, we are talking about a few places available, but things are going fast,” added the owner.
In restaurants, reservations are almost complete throughout the month of December.
“From next week, we are already full, the last from November until the beginning of January. Maybe a place for a group. But there is no cancellation, people are there, ”said Voie Maltée general manager Daniel Giguère.
“It’s not stopping now, we are already starting to have the full month of December in terms of groups and reservations. There are still places for couples, ”said the manager of the restaurant Chez Georges, Karel Leclerc.
