Cate Blanchett, Benoît Magimel, Valérie Lemercier… discover the winners of this 47th ceremony!

On Friday February 25, the 47th Cesar ceremony took place at the Olympia. Presented this year by an Antoine de Caunes who donned the costume of master of ceremonies for the 10th time, the event brought together 1.32 million viewers, or 8.5% of the public according to Médiamétrie. In what should be remembered, we will note the moving speech of Xavier Dolan in tribute to Gaspard Ulliel, who died following a skiing accident last January, or that of a Cate Blanchett honored with a César for the his entire career. “It’s hard to think of anything other than Ukraine,” she was able to say after receiving a long ovation.

The youtubeuse Marie infiltrates, has meanwhile, made an appearance to show her posterior to all the personalities of French cinema gathered in the Parisian room.

Listed prizes, Lost Illusions is the big winner of the evening, with 7 awards among its 15 nominations and with the most important, that of the best film. The musical “Annette” totaled five trophies. Benoît Magimel styled Adam Driver, Gilles Lellouche and Pierre Niney for the César for Best Actor while Valérie Lemercier won the Best Actress award. Aïssatou Diallo Sagna, a midwife by profession, received her César for best supporting role for The divide, a film about hospitals and the France of yellow vests, where she plays her own role. In contrast, North ferrywhich had no less than seven nominations, left empty-handed, as did Titanium, Palme d’Or 2021 at Cannes.
