Vincent Leclerc, Hubert Proulx and Sébastien Dubé embody the childhood friends of our Léo, who is 40 years old and single at the start of the first season. When his best friend Chabot (Steve Laplante) starts a family of his own, Léo decides it’s time to change his routine life. And it’s going to get there, with ups and downs.

The second season of this excellent legal thriller will be released on January 5, 2022, three years after the first chapter. Let’s refresh our memories. In The honorable, the 18-year-old daughter (Myriam Gaboury) of two famous judges (Patrick Huard and Macha Grenon) is murdered in a park. The suspect (Kevin Houle) is released at the start of his trial. The family is devastated and will seek revenge through not super legal means, let’s say. The system that the two judges believed in all their lives let them down, and that hurts a lot.

Here is a series that detonates. For all the right reasons. Brushing the portrait of a woman coming out of a coma after 15 long years, this dramatic comedy written by Guillaume Lambert and Florence Longpré – and directed by Guillaume Lonergan (Can you hear me ?) – allows several actors unfairly unknown to the general public to shine, such as Dominic St-Laurent and Joanie Guérin. Notice to the impatient who seek immediate satisfaction: the action does not take off until the third episode. But it’s worth staying.

Patrick Senécal presents

No, this is not a horror series. The 10 episodes that make up the first season of Patrick Senécal presents show that the universe of the Quebec novelist is much larger. Its playground combines horror, fantasy and dark humor. And all the actors who are there seem to have a lot of fun exploring it: from Théodore Pellerin to Anne-Marie Cadieux, including Gildor Roy, Éric Bruneau and Karine Gonthier-Hyndman. House suggestion: watch one episode per evening as a supplement to the program. And take it out pop corn !

The fault

After a first-rate first season, our expectations were perhaps too high for this nine-episode sequel, which catapults Detective Sergeant Céline Trudeau (solid Isabel Richer) to the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec. But whatever. Despite a scattered plot and some more or less convincing performances, The fault remains an entertaining thriller. The last two episodes are particularly breathtaking.
