How did voters in the Ile-de-France region vote for the 2022 presidential election? What score do Anne Hidalgo (PS) and Valérie Pécresse (LR) get in the Ile-de-France departments?

Historically low scores for the two candidates

At the national level, the mayor of Paris suffered the worst failure in the history of the PS with a miniscule 1.8% according to the latest 9:00 p.m. estimate. His candidacy sank. It divides by three the score of Benoît Hamon which was already very low (6.34%).

It is not better in Ile-de-France. It’s in Seine-Saint-Denis that the two candidates have the worst scores.

Their scores in the departments of Ile-de-France

In Seine et MarneAnne Hidalgo has to settle for a small 1.19% while Valérie Pécresse obtains 5.57% of the vote.

In the YvelinesAnne Hidalgo is at 1.23% while Valérie Pécresse obtains 8.32%.

In Essone Anne Hidalgo collapses by collecting 1.34% of the vote, Valérie Pécresse is at 5.55%.

In the Hauts-de-SeineAnne Hidalgo obtains 1.36% of the votes, Valérie Pécresse is at 8.03%.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, Anne Hidalgo does not do better than 1.08%. Valérie Pécresse obtains 3.22% of the votes.

In the Val de MarneAnne Hidalgo won 1.40% of the vote and Valérie Pécresse 5.52% of the vote.

In the Val d’OiseAnne Hidalgo does not exceed 1.15%, Valérie Pécresse is at 4.99%.

To Paris Anne Hidalgo obtains 2.17% and Valérie Pécresse 6.59% of the votes.

A shock for the PS and LR

When the first results were announced at 8:00 p.m., the room, where the PS candidate’s election evening was held, froze in silence. Very quickly, Anne Hidalgo spoke out and called for a vote against the far right of Marine Le Pen using the Emmanuel Macron ballot.

Valérie Pécresse does little better at the national level than Anne Hidalgo. With an estimate at 9:00 p.m. of 4.7%, it is below the 5% mark which allows reimbursement of campaign costs. The president of the Ile-de-France region declared that for the second round she would vote “in conscience” for Emmanuel Macron.

Without giving real voting instructionsshe asked voters “who have honored me with their confidence to weigh in the days to come with seriousness the potentially disastrous consequences for our country and for future generations of any choice different from mine that they would consider for the second round“.
