The government strongly recommends teleworking the postponement of the end-of-year holidays to limit social interactions.
In Lille (North), at a caterer, the day’s work is finished at noon. Christmas banquet and cocktails cancel each other out over the weeks. A shortfall of 350,000 euros. “Everything was canceled in cascade. We try not to panic, but the situation starts to get very stressful”, testifies Philippe Dehonger.
The same goes for an events company in Paris. In recent days, 60% of orders have been canceled after the season got off to a good start. “The month of November was very good and very correct, but the month of December is catastrophic “, explains Olivier Lévy, president of SnapEvent. The company will postpone several recruitments pending new customer orders for a few months. At one of them, a large consulting company, several Christmas parties were scheduled in different departments. Unfortunately, some will not be able to take place.
