Carrefour will suspend the sale of Pepsico group brands to protest against the price increase demanded by the manufacturer, franceinfo learned Thursday January 4 from the group, confirming information from journalist specializing in mass distribution Olivier Dauvers.

From Thursday January 4, Carrefour will put up posters in its stores to inform consumers of this decision. It will be written as follows: “We no longer sell this brand due to unacceptable price increases. We apologize for the inconvenience caused”.

This decision was taken as part of commercial negotiations between agro-industrial suppliers and supermarkets. Products from the brands Pepsi, Lipton, 7 Up, Lay’s, Doritos, Bénénuts and Quaker will therefore no longer be sold on the shelves of the Carrefour group.
