Former CAQ candidate Caroline St-Hilaire will become administrator of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), the second most important position in the organization.
The office of the Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie, Martine Biron, confirmed the information to the Duty, Sunday night. “The Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie informed the Minister this afternoon […] that she had chosen to appoint Caroline St-Hilaire as administrator of the OIF. This choice must now be ratified by the Permanent Council of the Francophonie over the next few hours,” writes the Minister’s press attaché, Catherine Boucher.
“This is excellent news for Quebec on the eve of International Francophonie Day. Remember that Quebec is a full member of the OIF. »
