On social networks, Caroline Margeridon is very close to her two children Alexandre (23 years old) and Victoire (22 years old), born from her relationship with her ex-husband, the jockey Gerald Mossé. “My mother died a month ago, she won’t even read my book“, declares Caroline Margeridon, without giving more information. The disappearance of her mother undoubtedly shook her, especially since the two women had not been in contact for very long years. ‘expert ofDeal concluded (France 2), now 55, cut all ties with her mother at the age of 22. Mother and daughter have therefore spent 33 years without seeing each other, without speaking, without sharing anything … “It’s horrible when you think about it …“, she concedes.
Caroline Margeridon: “She did everything to get me to see her again, I refused”
However, heart ties are worth more than blood ties to Caroline Margeridon. Indeed, once she made the decision to cut ties with her mother, she never went back on that choice. “From the day I stopped seeing her she did everything to make me see her again and I always said no, she explains. When someone hurts me once, they don’t hurt me twice. I’ve always been like that.“
A sad end for the duo which has nevertheless been very close in the past. It is also from her mother that Caroline Margeridon, second-hand dealer at the famous Biron des Puces market in Saint-Ouen, inherited her passion for sales. She was only 5 years old when she made her first transaction. “My mother had stands in Chatou. I followed her, I stood next to her, on the floor, I took out my boxes, a workbench and I sold. It made everyone laugh“, she recalls.
