Carla Bruni comes close to a dress accident by failing to fall on the red carpet!

The 76e edition of the Cannes Film Festival has opened its doors. On the famous red carpet, many personalities such as Adriana Karembeu, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Claude Lelouch or Cédric Klapisch, marched this Friday, May 19, 2023 where the film by British director Jonathan Glazer, The Zone of Interest was presented. But all eyes were on another celeb… who tripped over the carpet… or rather her gorgeous dress! A sparkling look that put the mother of Giulia and Aurélien among the superstars of this Festival.

“I come as a spectator, I come as a cinephile”, she explained to France Info before climbing the stairs. “I can’t wait, I really like the programming at Cannes. Each time it’s a discovery, it’s extraordinary artists”, continued the former First Lady, who describes the Festival as the “historic cradle of cinema”.
Then, as the Franco-Italian model makes her way up the stairs to attend the screening of this long-awaited feature filmof Cannes, the latter had to struggle with her train… under the spotlight! Resplendent in a short silver dress, her outfit was indeed equipped with a long train which had a small effect but was not easy to wear: Madame Sarkozy almost tripped while stepping on it! But accustomed to catwalks of all kinds, her natural smile quickly took over, in no way letting her embarrassment show… She ended up letting herself slide, like a siren with perfect plastic, to the sacrosanct Palais des Festivals.
