(Washington) The Washington Capitals have granted a three-season contract extension worth US $ 1.3 million annually to forward Nic Dowd.
The team announced the news on Sunday, before facing the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dowd, who is 31, has scored one goal this season. He did well in a supporting role in 2020-21, setting a personal high with 11 goals in 56 games.
In 316 NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks and Capitals, Dowd has 36 goals and 43 assists.
