CAP de Périgueux shines in Tyrosse for its first match of the final stages

Definitely nothing can stop Périgueux. Tempted by the title of Federal 1, the rugby club has just offered itself a great first victory by winning 43 to 7 on the lawn of the Fougère stadium, in Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse for his first match of the final stages. The CAP, which is already guaranteed to go up to National 2 next season, is first in its pool, Tyrosse is 4th.“Winning with 40 points in Tyrosse… They’ve never lost like that. They’ve only lost once at home. I’m very happy, the players have expressed themselves. Sometimes in the final stages, a team can be too stressed but our players were very relaxed, they offered play, scored tries. We scored five tries and we won with the attacking bonus point!”smiles coach Richard Hill.

Return match next week

The capists find the Landes of the US Tyrosse next week in the Dordogne for the second leg of the round of 16. Their trainer is confident but remains vigilant. “It’s easy to think that after scoring 40 points we’ll easily win next week, but that’s not always the case so you have to be very focused. It’s mental work”, he recalls. Before adding: “anyway, now every game, every win, it’s a bonus”.
