Canucks | Thatcher Demko and JT Miller positive for COVID-19

(Vancouver) Goaltender Thatcher Demko and forward JT Miller have tested positive for COVID-19, adding to the Canucks’ situation with the virus.

The news comes after rapid testing.

Both players have been sidelined from training in Vancouver pending further test results.

Captain Bo Horvat, winger Conor Garland and goaltender Jaroslav Halak are already on the sidelines with the Canucks.

Miller is the team’s leading scorer with 39 points, including 12 goals, in 39 games.

Demko has a 2.62 GAA and a 17-14-0 record. He is expected to represent the Canucks at the All-Star Game next month.

Vancouver will begin a three-game home stint on Friday.

The Canucks will have a visit from the Panthers, Blues and Oilers.
