(Vancouver) The Vancouver Canucks acquired Penguins defenseman Mark Friedman on Tuesday.
The Canucks also get their hands on forward Ty Glover in exchange for defenseman Jack Rathbone and forward Karel Plasek.
Friedman had three points in 23 games with the Penguins last season. He added a goal and five assists in 24 games in the American Hockey League in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The 23-year-old Glover signed an entry-level contract with the Penguins in March 2022 after two seasons at Western Michigan University. The six-foot-three, 200-pound colossus has 12 points in 49 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2022-23.
Rathbone, a fourth-round pick of the Canucks in the 2017 draft, has five points in 28 NHL games.
Plasek, selected in the sixth round in 2019, recorded 15 points in 31 games last season with Olomouc HC in the Extraliga in the Czech Republic.
