Michel Drucker presents a new issue of Can’t wait for Sunday this Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 3:10 p.m. on France 2. The host, still in good shape at 79, even after having experienced serious health problems, receives this week the casting of the film The Farm Folies directed by Jean-Pierre Améris, namely Michèle Bernier, Berengere Krief and Guy Marchand. The feature film traces the incredible story of David Caulette, a farmer in mixed farming in the Tarn who saved his farm from the brink of bankruptcy by setting up a cabaret on the farm with his wife. “There was really material to make a film with a hero, David, this young peasant who has a goal: to save his farm. And to achieve this goal, he has ideas: bring in artists, so a world that is completely foreign to him“, judged the director for France info.
The real David Caumette will also be present to relate his crazy adventure. And according to his first statements for our colleagues from France info, he was very satisfied with the result of the film. “When you see a film that traces 70% of your life, with (…) everything he managed to understand without me telling him, the relationship between artists and farmers, the relationship between me and my parents , my grandfather, all the intergenerational conflicts that there were and which are traced in the film… I find it very realistic“, he confided.
It should be noted that other actors are also on the poster of the film but absent from Can’t wait for Sundayincluding Alban Ivanov, Sabrina Ouazani and Moussa Maaskri. The Farm Folies is to be discovered in cinemas from May 11. The cabaret is open all year round in Garrigues.
Michel Drucker will be on air earlier this week and therefore there will be no Roll on next Sunday. And for good reason, the channel will broadcast instead from 4:05 p.m. the 1/4 final of the European Rugby Cup which will oppose Racing 92 to Sale Sharks.
